This tour is the best of what Marvellous Melbourne has to offer.  Starting at the boatsheds opposite Federation Square, we paddle under the historic Princes Bridge, passing Southbank and the Casino, right through the heart of the city, up to South Wharf and Melbourne's own tall-ship, the Polly Woodside.  We take in the sunset reflected in the towering surrounds of the city sky-scape as we return to the peaceful Botanic Gardens as the city lights up*. 

A leisurely paddle with only basic fitness and no experience necessary.

Where: Starts and finishes at Boathouse Drive on the Yarra River, in front of the rowing sheds
When: Varies with the time of year  - check when booking - 7pm give or taker an hour (arrive earlier to allow for briefing and set up)
Duration: 2.5 - 3 hours
Cost: $375 per group of up to 3 people. $90 per additional persons. If your group is 7-10 persons $90 per head.

What We Provide: Our guided tours use our super-stable double sea kayaks, with a spray deck, PFD (personal floatation device / life jacket), paddle, bottle of water, 10L dry bag to keep your things dry and all safety equipment.
This tour also includes a Fish and Chip dinner en route.

What to Wear and Bring: You can wear your street clothes but you may get them a little wet - perhaps bring a change if you are going out afterwards. If it is wet or windy we will provide a paddling jacket (or you can bring your own jacket/raincoat). We suggest you also bring:

• sunhat
• shoes or sandals that can get wet
• sunscreen
• camera

* Sunshine not guaranteed! This is Melbourne after all and we experience 4 seasons in one day - the tour will also run when it is cloudy and even rainy!

Children aged 7-15 and over are welcome on our tours. Each child must be accompanied by an adult (16 years and over) -  don't hesitate to call us on 03 9597 0549 if you need to discuss.

Terms and Conditions

Sea kayaking is an outdoor activity and therefore exposed to the elements.  If conditions are unfavourable we will seek to reschedule.
