Instruction received was thorough, detailed and highly relevant covering essential knowledge for successful and safe kayaking. The practical application of the introductory information was invaluable for our foray into the water. The site provided opportunities for practice in a range of conditions expertly led. Learnt a lot and enjoyed the experience.

I had no idea about kayak fishing. Just the image in my head. Attending this course revealed how dangerous this sport could be to the uninformed as well as what to consider about where and when to launch. So much information and well worth attending.

Done the course to learn about safety on the water and learned there is much more than I thought.
Pleased with the opportunity to try 2 types of sit on top kayaks.
Information delivered with excellent mix of humor and significance. Would have liked a written booklet to go back to navigation principles, ties and winds as I am not familiar with internet -willing to pay for it.Wishing to do more courses with them.Daniela

This course provides all the theoretical and practical knowledge that every kayaker should know. It showed that there is much more to going fishing in your kayak than just checking the tides and phase of the moon to see whether the fish might be biting.
The theoretical part of the course provided vital information that you need to know before you plan going out in your kayak. The on the water section of the day showed how you can use protected areas to paddle safely in a day that is less than ideal, gusting up 35 knots, was a great opportunity to be able to go out in a safe environment to experience strong and blustery conditions.
This course should be undertaken by anybody thinking of going fishing in a kayak. I cannot recommend it highly enough and found the information invaluable. The day was a very informative and fun 3 hours. I have been able to apply much of the information that I learnt during the course to good use.

So many things I thought I knew about kayak fishing and safety were incomplete or just wrong.
If you are into kayak fishing in any way, this course is a must. It is the best 3 hour investment you'll spend on this great hobby.
Besides the safety and techniques we learned, it was just a cracking good few hours having some solid laughs, talking fish and kayaks.
Can't recommend highly enough.

Had a a ball....Learnt so much on this day, over and above what I already knew. Invaluable resource for weather and other nuances involved getting on the water with your kayak. I would expect this course to be mandatory for all kayakers....fishermen and others.
Expect Rohan to give you full attention and expert knowledge. Had a fish in the afternoon....few nibbles but no fish....didn't matter enjoyed the day under the great sunshine. Highly recommended, especially if you are a Newbie.

Had an absolute blast at this course. Rohan kept the whole day entertaining as well as informative. He provided information that I had never even considered and made us appreciate some of the hazards and dangers of kayak fishing (not just wet exits/re-entry). After the course I felt more confident and with a little more practice I'll be out there soon!

Having already purchased kayaks and had some less than favourable experiences with self-rescue, I decided my son (10 year old) and I needed to learn the required skills before we ran into real trouble. Even though Ive been paddling for a while, I learnt way more than I expected to. A day's paddling would usually result in sore back and arms etc, but learning correct paddle strokes has made my paddling way more efficient and also takes the strain off the rest of my body. John showed me a few other strokes which allow me to turn my large kayak on its axis, which I didnt even know was possible. When we went out into the bay, it was pretty scary due to past experiences, but John reassured me the whole way and made me feel comfortable. The experience was able to get me over my nerves and regain some confidence. John altered the wet exit/re-entry to suit my son and I, which was really appreciated, and now I am much more confident in being able to get back in if (when) I come out next time. Overall my son and I learnt a wealth of information, and the cost of the course was well worth it. If you are looking to go kayak fishing, this course should be viewed as mandatory.
