Before you attend:
Applicants for a Guide or Instructor award should already hold a Coastal Skills Award or have demonstrated equivalent skills. This allows the paddler to operate confidently, skilfully and safely within their tested conditions. Ideally you have participated in the Intake weekend and participated in some mentored activities with us prior to assessment as part of your logbook component.

You need to complete the assessment day and pay a registration fee in order to complete your certification as a guide or instructor - separate fees apply for the assessment day and the registration with Australian Canoeing ($150 for 3 years registration).

Prior to booking you should check the assessment criteria, including logbook and first aid certificate requirements (Provide First Aid Course, including current CPR certificate) to ensure you can meet this within the available timeframe.
